Nordstrom’s anniversary sale is eagerly awaited by fashionistas. With early access for cardmembers starting July 11, and for everyone else on July 17, we expect Nordstrom traffic to continue increasing throughout the end of July and into the first week of August.
For the week of July 10-16, we certainly see an uptick in foot traffic due to the cardmember early access. In fact, traffic was up +32% the week of July 10-16 over the previous week.
Compared to the same time period last year, Nordstrom is down -12% year-over-year. However, the slow start may be partly due to the fact that last year’s Anniversary Sale opened on July 9 for cardmembers versus July 11 this year.
