Live Nation: Demand Exceeds Supply (and 2023 Brings A Lot of Supply)
  • Live Nation's ticketing gross transaction value ($7.3B) was up +76% YoY on +48% more tickets sold compared to 2019. Relative to the economy and inflation concerns by consumers, the company has yet to see any pullback in the U.S., Europe, or any international market.
  • For concert events this year, 122M tickets were sold during 2Q22, 36M more than in 2Q19. 100M of the tickets sold were in North America (a +30% increase YoY).
  • Given the strong demand, Live Nation is expanding its season into 4Q22 allowing for one million more fans to see their favorite performer.
