Frank Sinatra said it best, “Las Vegas is the only place I know where money really talks--it says, GOODBYE.” Along with Super Bowl tickets costing into the thousands, the tempting allure of casinos and upscale restaurants, Las Vegas is also known as a shopper’s paradise. Walk up and down the strip and there is no shortage of luxury stores to spend your newfound winnings. Over a dozen luxury shops opened in Vegas in 2023 or plan to in 2024, such as Baccarat, Dolce & Gabbana, and Golden Goose. And when the biggest sports event of the year comes to Las Vegas, you can be sure all the shopping venues want to roll out the red carpet for high-flying guests.
Simon Property Group encouraged visitors to “Come for the Shopping and Stay for the Game,” inviting people to check out The Forum Shops at Caesars, The Shops at Crystals, and Las Vegas North Premium Outlets. Our always-on shopping radar spotted the Forum Shops play a cameo during the game. Team gear was available for purchase at the NFL Las Vegas Shop at the Forum Shops.
There’s clearly a “Saturday spike” in visitation to not only the shops, but to the hotels that are adjacent to them occurring. Saturday appears to be the day most people are out and about, which makes sense if you think about out-of-towners driving or flying in on a Friday night, spending Saturday living it up, and getting ready to depart on Sunday, or in last week’s case--watching the Super Bowl.
Caesar’s Palace had stronger visitation the Saturday of Feb. 10 (pre-Super Bowl), but had equally strong visitation two weeks prior on Jan. 27. ARIA Resort & Casino had 20% more visitation the Saturday before the Super Bowl compared to the prior week.
Other divine Las Vegas shopping destinations include Fashion Show Las Vegas, The Grand Canal Shoppes, and The District at Resorts World.
